Vehicle Description
PHS DOCUMENTED FACTORY TRI POWER 4-SPEED, PS, PB This 1965 presents
itself beautifully with its great color Reef Turquoise, code k. It
has a very nice clear coat finish on a clean rust free body. It is
straight down both sides, all gaps and seams are nice and the
bumpers have been re-chromed to show finish. The stainless trim,
grills, mirror, door handles, tail panel and tail light bezels have
been polished or replaced with new. It rides on a set of Rally 1
wheels with a set of radial redline tires. The parchment interior
stands out against the Reef Turquoise exterior. The seat
upholstery, door panels, armrests, pads, headliner, visors and
carpet have all been replaced. It has a factory wood steering wheel
and console. Looking at the dash: it has the optional Rally gauges
and tach, the wood grain on the dash is in great shape, new dash
pad, front seat belts, aftermarket AM/FM radio (that plays well)
and Pontiac floor mats. The engine compartment is nicely detailed
with a period correct 389 cubic inch engine with casting number
9778789. The wiring harness has been replaced along with all the
brake lines, correct spring style battery cables, 4-core aluminum
radiator, new power steering box and rag joint. It has correct
chrome air cleaners, chrome valve covers, power steering, upgraded
new cadmium plated brake booster, upgraded to dual master cylinder,
front disc brake conversion and under hood insulation. The engine
compartment is nicely finished in a satin black finish. The
undercarriage is nicely detailed. The floors are all clean and
original metal and have a nice coat of satin black paint. Looking
up at the bottom of the motor it is clean as well as the Muncie
4-speed transmission. The front brakes have been upgraded to disc
brakes and all the front end components and all the bushings appear
to have been replaced. The E-brake cable assembly is complete and
working. The gas tank and sending unit have been replaced. The
trunk compartment is very nice with a spare steel wheel and jack
assembly along with a trunk mat and spare tire cover. It has a
light coat of gray trunk splatter for a nice clean factory look,
new weather stripping and the jacking instructions decal. This is a
very nice 1965 Pontiac GTO! It really stands out from all the rest
with its looks, sound and performance! Make it yours!!
