The Oldsmobile in the 50's was the staple in many middle to upper
class driveways as it stood out from the Chevy but wasn't the high
price of the Cadillac or Buick. These were mass produced for the
booming economy and growth in America. It was usually the only car
in the family and used for trips to work, grocery store, beach and
church. Didn't matter if you had two or eight kids, everyone piled
in and found a spot and enjoyed the ride!
Pleased to present this very nice and very original 1954 Oldsmobile
88 with 64k miles. Finished in Royal Marine blue with plenty of
chrome and the large 324 Olds Rocket V8. Vehicle was sold new out
of Indianapolis IN to a Mr. Weber from Moore Chevrolet on 6-30-54.
Vehicle was purchased by our client about 10yrs ago in Milwaukee
where the previous owner had the transmission rebuilt, new
radiator, brakes adjusted and fresh fluids. Vehicle was tastefully
restored in 2001 and the current condition is extremely nice. Horn,
lights, AM radio, wipers and heater all work. New radial tires
installed less than 1k miles ago and current owner believes that
the miles are accurate on the odometer.
Vehicle is a joy to drive down the road with simple features, V8
power and a look that instantly sends you back in time. These were
great vehicles that provided the family with simple and comfortable
transportation. Vehicle comes with set of keys, original owner's
manual and clean MI title.
