For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This is a firecracker! High performance small block with a 4-speed! Show quality fit and finish body.

EXTERIOR: The fit and finish of the body is actually outstanding. I believe it was always a nice clean body. It is straight as an arrow, no rust or damage. It has front and rear spoilers. The Hugger Orange is smooth as glass and super glossy. Jambs are slick. The paint will continue to look this way because it's already several years old, it's proven itself. The chrome was replaced several years ago and still looks good. It sits on 15x8 Corvette rally wheels with new trim and BFG tires. It's a power top, not new but good shape with no tears.

INTERIOR: Overall good. Door panels look great. Upgraded Sport Comp gauges and a custom cushion grip wheel. It has some nice features including power seats. The seats were upholstered with cloth houndstooth inserts. $2,500 stereo with 4 speakers. Factory center console has a Hurst shifter sticking out of it. Original seatbelts front and back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Dart Iron Eagle 350 block, claimed to be the strongest small block made. Bored and stroked to a 448. Callies crank, Oliver rods, custom cam, roller lifters and rockers, KB pistons and TrickFlow aluminum heads. On top is an Edelbrock intake, Quickfuel carb and MSD ignition system. The front of the motor has a chrome alternator, power steering and an aluminum water pump. It also has Super Comp headers, chrome fuel pump, chrome vacuum can and a remote oil filter. Cadmium plated power brake booster, chrome CPP master cylinder.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. The entire compartment is painted gloss orange. It has a rally wheel spare and jack assembly. It also has a carpeted mat, new well liner and weatherstrip. There's an amp and subwoofer too.

UNDERSIDE: Complete front rebuild: balljoints, tierods, idler arm, springs, bushings, pitman arm, swaybar links. Hotchkis x-brace floor brace. Replaced rear leaf springs. SSBC 4 wheel disc brake conversion, new e-brake assembly. Custom stainless exhaust with x-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers. Bottom of the motor has an extra capacity oil pan, hd scatter shield and a high torque starter. T-10 4-speed with Competition Plus shifter, replaced clutch and flywheel. New drive shaft, posi rear. The floors are bone dry metal.

This is a Camaro to get in and drive. Pushing through those gears with all that horsepower on a sunny day topless will make all your worries go away.
