Wow! A 67 coupe with factory a/c and a 4-speed. Plus, a list of
other factory options. NCRS correct body off frame restoration, #s
matching throughout. This is a high quality, extremely desirable
Corvette.
EXTERIOR: This is one of a few cars where the coupe is more
desirable than a convertible. They made less and they look great.
The fit and finish is better than it was brand new. The gaps around
the doors, hood and headlights are square and flush. The body is
absolutely straight, I don't see any damage or repairs. Repainted
its original Marlboro Maroon color, the metal flake is laid out
evenly and it is polished like glass. All the chrome and trim was
replaced or restored. NOS correctly dated mirror. It has a new
windshield; the original soft ray tinted windows are in very good
shape. Door jambs are painted slick, weather strips and sill plates
were replaced. The rally wheels have new trim with the correct
small derby caps. Radial tires look like new. The side exhaust
looks and sounds awesome. Reproduction T-3 headlights. Upgraded
electric headlights automatically open when the lights are turned
on.
INTERIOR: 1st impression, it looks brand new inside. Original dash
pads are in excellent shape. The original gauges were restored like
new. It has the rare speed minder. The bezels and knobs are
sparkling. The factory AM-FM radio works. New carpet front to back.
Headliner and visors look new. The seats have been recushioned and
upholstered. The center console is in beautiful shape, it has a
correct reverse lock out shifter and power window switches. Correct
seat belts are in mint condition. Original door panels, driver side
has some lifting. The interior lights work. The jack is mounted
behind the seat. No cracks and the steering wheel and door
panels.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored and detailed to factory
specs. Vin #s on the engine matches the car, code HE 327-300 hp.
Correct numbered and restored Holley carb, correct numbered
alternator. Correct manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner and
ignition shielding. The radiator, shroud, clutch fan and expansion
tank look good, and it has reproduction hoses and clamps. The air
conditioning systems has been restored and updated with R134 freon.
It also features power steering and power brakes. New complete
power steering system. Upgraded with Pertronix ignition inside the
distributor.
UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restoration. It was detailed to look
factory new down to the assembly line stickers and paint markings.
Independent suspension front and rear was completely rebuilt. The
power steering system was completely replaced. 4-wheel disc brake
system was completely rebuilt, e-brake assembly is hooked up.
Factory type side exhaust with chambered pipes. Raw fiberglass
floors are cleaned up like new. Clean, solid frame is painted
semi-gloss black. Looking up at the motor it is spotless. It has
correct fuel pump, starter and canister type oil filter. Vin #
matching Muncie 4-speed. Rebuilt driveshaft and axle shafts.
Correct 1967 dated rear end.
Conclusion:
I literally see thousands of collector cars a year. This Vette is
exceptional, not only the way it look but also the way it
functions. Do not take this combination of options in a coupe
lightly. There are other 1967 Corvettes out there, they aren't this
one!
