Body off frame restored. It has binders of documentation including
photos of the restoration. Original 427-425 hp car, now upgraded
with a 540-438 hp big block. Sharp looking color combination, has 2
tops. Awesome car to drive.
EXTERIOR: The body is in excellent condition. It is straight and
fits great, has bulged hood. The headlights open and close
properly. Repainted Silver Pearl Poly. It's laid out evenly and has
a smooth glossy finish. Minor nicks if you look for them. Jambs are
painted neatly. $2,600 spent restoring the hardtop- paint,
headliner, window. $1,000 was spent restoring the convertible top
frame. Has black convertible. 4 offset rims with radial redline
tires and correct spinner hubcaps. The chrome, emblems, gas door,
handles are all excellent. Working power antenna. New windshield
with polished stainless trim.
INTERIOR: All Knoch interior. Seats are rebuilt with cushions and
upholstery. Door panels are excellent. Dash pads are mint, glovebox
door and liner look new, knobs sparkle. All wiring front to back
was replaced. Gauges were removed and restored; it has 6500 redline
tach for a 425 hp car. Quartz movement in the clock. Factory Am-Fm
works. 15 inch teak wheel is a little smaller than the original for
a little more room. Console is excellent, has correct style
shifter. Carpet was replaced front to back, slight staining on
driver's side. Has correct silver seatbelts. Very tidy and proper
fitting.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: In 2017 Drummond Race Cars built the motor. New
Dart block with a balanced 540 rotating kit, Comp cam and lifters.
Aluminum Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads were given a performance valve
job and stainless valves. Custom handmade 3 inch stainless headers,
MSD ignition, aluminum intake and Holley carb. Cooling system looks
new- radiator, shroud, clutch fan and it has an auxiliary electric
fan. It features power steering and power brakes. Everything looks
tidy and proper.
UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restoration. The frame and components
were completely disassembled and restored cosmetically and
mechanically. 4 wheel disc brakes with stainless lines, stainless
sleeved calipers and master cylinder. It uses silicone fluid,
e-brake assembly is hooked up. Front springs, idler arm,
balljoints, tie rods, bushings were replaced. Upgraded 12:1
steering box, new power steering conversion. All new rear
suspension- trailing arm assembly, stabilizer bar, bushings, links
and 7 leaf spring. Custom stainless exhaust with welded joints and
Magnaflow mufflers. Bottom of the motor is clean, has high torque
starter and extra capacity oil pan. Heavy duty scatter shield,
rebuilt M-21 4-speed and Hurst linkage. Heavy duty differential
from Tom's Diffs. The fiberglass floors are very clean, spare tire
carrier is mint.
Conclusion: High quality restoration throughout. Not only an
adrenaline rush to drive but it's reliable and very functional. I
love the colors. You won't go wrong with this one!
