This custom rebuilt Model-A motor features new pistons, Manley Stainless Steel Valves, one piece valve guides, Mallory distributor, Redline touring cam, Winfield head 7.5-1 ratio, Winfield side cover, new babbitted rods, new oil pump, 32 Ford water pump, custom exhaust and down draft intake with an adjustable Stromberg 97 carb. This vehicle sits right on lowered suspension and aftermarket adjustable friction shocks. This Speedster also features custom Model A headlights, a custom built hood and 27 cowl with custom windshield. The Ford Model A (also colloquially called the A-Model Ford or the A, and A-bone among hot rodders and customizers) was the Ford Motor Company's second market success, replacing the venerable Model T which had been produced for 18 years. It was first produced on October 20, 1927, but not introduced until December 2. This new Model A (a previous model had used the name in 1903-04) was designated a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. The vehicle was also sold in Europe but was replaced by locally built cars such as the Ford Model Y.
