Serious small block power, an awesome stance, and it's all wrapped
in a bright red classic package - that's why this 1966 Chevrolet
Chevy II Nova SS always knows how to command attention. And since
you have an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a
comfy A/C interior, it also makes sure this is the hardtop that
you'll want to take everywhere.
A hardtop dressed in red always looks good. And since this upgraded
Victory Red was a professional application that has an awesome
gloss in the sunshine. This bold paint is also the kickoff to fully
amp up the aggressive features. There's a big cowl hood up front,
wide/bright chrome bumpers, and the clean body lines show off the
classic kick-up in the rear fenders. Plus, this now rides on an
attractive set of Coys wheels. The 17/18-inch front/rear stagger
helps show off a very sporty stance. So while the VIN tells us this
is a real-deal Super Sport, you can tell this one goes well beyond
its history to be a true power car.
The black interior has a clean and driver-ready style, which makes
for a great vintage cruiser. You'll appreciate classic details,
like the Nova door panels and dome light that greets you when the
door opens. And upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo and cold-blown
air conditioning make for a better car to drive all weekend. And
speaking of driving. The front bucket seats, center console, NK4
steering wheel, and AutoMeter Pro-Comp auxiliary readouts are the
ideal mix of classic and updated for a solid driver's coupe.
Under the hood, the clean/custom inner fenders funnel your
attention to the polished components of the upgraded and powerful
heart in the middle. While this was born a six-cylinder Super
Sport, it now really lives up to the SS name with proper small
block power. The consignor claims this is a 383 stroker motor, and
it certainly has the strong feeling to reaffirm this. Plus, it's
built with the right performance components, like Edelbrock
aluminum heads, a dual-feed Holley four-barrel carburetor, an
Edelbrock aluminum intake, and headers. You'll also spot good
supporting components, like MSD ignition and an aluminum radiator.
The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is the ideal pairing
that has a stout construction for all that added power, and it also
smoothly shifts into overdrive for highway cruising. There's also
power rack & pinion steering, a tubular A-arm front suspension, the
grip of modern performance tires, and Wilwood four-wheel power disc
brakes.
This Nova SS is an attractive and powerful icon with the right
investments that make it an all-around fun and capable muscle car.
