This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is ready to get up and go! An
authentic SS as shown by the VIN, this mean-looking '68 definitely
has the punch to prove it. Powered by a 396 C.I. V8 paired to an
Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, this Chevelle
has the capability to pull well beyond its own weight. That power
is backed up by a 3-speed column-shifted automatic and a 12-bolt
rear end. Although the paint and interior colors are not original
to the car, the interior's silver vinyl and cloth bucket seats
compliment the Chevelle's black color very well, and are incredibly
comfortable to sit in. This Chevelle is fitted with an updated
AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, a heater, original gauges, ventilated
windows, and a dual exhaust system. It rides on a great set of
American Racing wheels paired to yet another great set of BF
Goodrich RWL tires, making this '68 an excellent cruiser. The body,
frame, doors, and floorpans are all very solid and impressive. This
sweet Chevelle makes for one great driver, and that big-block 396
gives you more than enough torque to pull away from a red light. If
you're looking for an authentic SS that is an excellent cruiser,
solid, authentic, but has some room for improvement to make
show-quality, then this might just be the Chevelle for you!
