This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is a perfect example of one of the most
popular cars of all time. It is basically original, but did receive
a professional re-spray at some point that is in very good
condition. Accents include dual chrome mirrors, a metal- framed
roof carrier w/wooden slats and 15" Volkswagen road wheels with
factory hubcaps that mount BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall
tires. All chrome/stainless pieces are excellent. The Gray/Green
vinyl interior has been refreshed anywhere needed. Upholstery is
new 'tweed-look' vinyl that looks great. Carpets, mats dash
headliner - all in outstanding condition. An original
'All-Transistor' AM/FM radio sits comfortably in the dash. True,
there are no air conditioning, power seats or power locks - but the
pop-out rear windows are very cool! Our Beetle is said to be
powered by a 1600cc flat-four that appears to be bone dry
underneath - no oil leaks. The factory 6-volt electrics have been
converted to 12-volts and a 4-speed fully-synchronized
transmission. The solid undercarriage is fitted with new shocks,
manual steering and 4-wheel manual drum brakes that perform very
well. This is a classic "Bug" that is going to be a lot of fun for
someone. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
