For Sale: 2000 Buick LeSabre in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

2000 Buick LeSabre Limited

Like those of many baby boomers the thinking is that Buicks have mushy rides, imprecise handling and styling that shouts, ''Hey, Mom, Grandpa is here!'' Who can blame them? Buick has long catered to the senior set that loves big American cars. With a preponderance of models that were conservative on the outside, unexciting on the inside, Buick long ago lost the high-style appeal it had in the 50's and 60's with snazzy Skylarks, sporty Wildcats and elegant Electra 225's. As younger Americans discovered cool, crisp-handling European and Japanese sedans, Buick was left selling cars to the Sun City crowd.

For consignment a 2000 LeSabre from Buick, in Limited trim. This means a 3.8 liter V6, EFI 4-speed automatic and all the creature comforts one could want in a 2000 4-door sedan including leather seats, traction control, and steering wheel audio, cruise, and temperature controls. All of this wrapped up in a one local owner, always garage kept, 12,789 title verified actual mile package.

Exterior
All bathed in Pewter and ready to be the belle of the ball, staying true to its heritage, the whole package contains eye appeal and maintains the distinctive Buick luxury look. Now integrated headlights with side turn signals wrapping around the front quarters give this car a much more aero look than its dual stacked headlight predecessors. These lamps flank the chrome barred oval grille and within floats the Buick tri-shield emblem. Some Pewter vinyl accenting is adding a 3D look to the slab sides along with the taupe rocker trimmings and the fender tri-shield and LeSabre Limited badges all remain in chrome. Nicely rounded panels and well minded gaps are noted throughout as are the body colored mirrors and door handles. The paint is nearly perfectly applied from the factory with only one scuff to note on the driver's door mirror. Chrome trimmed flush mount tail lights wrap around the sides of the car and a large chromed plastic frame surrounds the license plate holder. Finalizing our exterior tour are 15" 5 spoke Buick badged alloy wheels shod in thin whitewall radials.

Interior
Inside, a heavily padded like new khaki leather 70/30 split bench seat provides comfortable room for 3 with deep tuck and roll stitching and large slabs of smooth leather. Overstuffed horseshoe shaped headrests sit atop the outboard seating positions and we note both front seat sections are power actuated, have heated surfaces and the driver's position has 2 programmable memory locations. A khaki leather bench is in the back and of the same pattern. Undulating lines abound for the dash design which seamlessly integrates the 3 black faced round pod instrument panel. We note a litany of viewable functions with the press of a button for the cluster and a medium grained burl runs the length of the dash holding within the digital climate control with the AM/FM/Cassette & CD player above. Even door panels are utilizing this round flowing style...gone is the 80's square and rectangle design, (thank goodness!). All clean and nicely preserved here.

Drivetrain
Lifting the hood reveals a like new engine bay holding the original and barely broken in 3.8 Liter V6 Series II engine. It is fed by EFI and has a 4T65E 4-speed automatic transmission on back with a 2.86 final drive,

Undercarriage
Not to be outdone by the topside, the undercarriage also shows as new with only a light spattering of road dirt and very light corrosion on untreated components. Independent suspension is all around with aluminum control arms, and power disc brakes front and rear bring you to a stop safely.

Drive-Ability
A quick starter and the 6 cylinders all came immediately to life. On the test track it performed as expected with good acceleration, bias free braking and apt handling. All functions performed swimmingly, and I thoroughly enjoyed the benefit of the heated seats on my ample keister while I enjoyed the AC blowing in my face.

A 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited in near showroom new condition with great paint, and mechanically sound with a like new well-appointed interior. One owner for its entire life which includes just a tick over 12K miles. Come and get it!
