Vehicle Description
This 1956 Ford Crown Victoria is an absolutely stunning example and
is the clear beneficiary of an extensive frame off restoration. In
1955, Ford completely redesigned its product offerings with the new
cars featuring flatter hoods, wider and longer bodies, and
wraparound windshields. The Crestline was replaced by the new
top-of-the-line Fairlane which was named after the Ford Family's
Fair Lane Estate in Michigan. Also debuting in 1955 was the Crown
Victoria with its non-structural chrome band across the roof. When
1956 rolled around, Ford made a few subtle changes to its Fairlane
line including new side trim running down the sides of the cars,
new larger taillights with surrounding chrome rings, as well as new
oval shaped parking lights which replaced the previously round
ones. Of course one of the most notable changes in 1956 was the
introduction of the much welcomed 12 volt electrical system. Also
updated in 1956 was the instrument cluster and steering wheel
design, which gave the cars a more modern look. This particular
1956 Crown Victoria comes to us from an east coast collector who
had the car frame off restored while under his ownership. Under the
hood on this '56 Crown Vic is a 292 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired
with a single 4 barrel carburetor that was said to have pushed out
200 horsepower in its day. The 292 V8 is backed by an automatic
transmission ensuring that just about anyone can take this classic
Ford for a spin around the block. Exhaust exits through the bumper
via a dual exhaust setup with Magnaflow mufflers, giving the car a
nice throaty sound. As far as options go, this Crown Victoria is
loaded! With power brakes, bringing this '56 Ford to a full stop is
a breeze. Power steering makes it way easier to get in and out of
those tight spaces at the local drive-in or car show, and makes
driving this 50s Ford much more enjoyable. Equipped with a factory
air conditioning dash and an upgraded modern compressor, you'll
stay cool while cruising even on the hottest summer days. Riding on
wide whitewall bias-ply tires with full wheel covers, this 1956
Crown Victoria has a fantastic look cruising down the road. This
'56 Crown Victoria has been beautifully repainted in a two-tone
color scheme consisting of Fiesta Red and Colonial White. The
interior on this 1956 Ford is stellar! The front and rear bench
seat have been reupholstered in beautiful Colonial White Vinyl with
Red bodycloth inserts. The dash, door panels, and steering wheel
are in fantastic shape and appear to be in their stock
configuration. The dash is equipped with 120 MPH speedometer,
temperature gauge, clock, and fuel gauge, along with indicator
lights for oil pressure and the generator. Whether you're buying
your very first classic car or you're adding to your blue oval
collection, this 1956 Ford Crown Victoria would make an excellent
choice. Give us a call today!
