Vehicle Description
The "Old Style" Ford directly refers to the immediate post WWII
cars that were basically unchanged from the 1941-1942 cars that was
the result of halted automotive production from late 1942 through
1945/1946 due to war time efforts that every manufacturer here in
the US would contribute including the big three that would
manufacture tanks, jeeps and numerous other items that could be
churned out in a much faster manner with the assembly lines we
already had in place. This particular 47 Ford Coupe is hardly stock
or original and one would argue that its much better than original.
This has a smooth running modern 350 GM engine mated to a durable
350 Turbo automatic transmission. The car has received updated A/C
that is in good working order with the controls under the dash. The
car comes with power windows, power brakes, front disc brakes and
power steering. The interior and seats are in good condition with
the seats being exceptionally comfortable. The restoration appears
to have done in the early to mid 1990's so there is some paint
blemishes in the cream pearl paint like some cracking and scratches
but from 10ft away the car looks very good. The rear trunk lid is
on a electric solenoid that works fine, the rear vent windows still
open manually. This 47 starts easily, idles nicely, has plenty of
power and goes down the road very strait with no shimmys or shakes,
does not smell and has no noticeable leaks. This would make someone
a great vehicle to jump in to and enjoy your local car club scene
with no known issues that have to be addressed. This is truly a
nice running and driving car that can be enjoyed as is for a long
time.
