1955 Pontiac Safari, the first year of the 3 year run. Approximately 3760 built new in 55.
We’ve owned the car since 1976, it was registered and driven in Upstate NY until Fall of 2015, when it was shipped out to Arizona. It’s spent the last 7 years in the garage in Arizona, It was never registered in AZ. Battery has been kept charged and started every few months.
My father did the work on the car. It has a later model 1960 Pontiac 389 bored over to 400 dressed like a 55. Has the original transmission. Dual exhaust was added and power windows. The front end had the brakes changed via a conversion kit to disc brakes. The car was painted back in the early 2000’s and the interior was done at that time.
