1957 Chevrolet Corvette For Sale - NCRS Top Flight Award Winner,
Dual Quad 283ci/270hp LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1957
Chevrolet Corvette When Chevrolet unveiled the all new two-seater
Corvette in 1953, critics loved the Motorama-show-car styling, but
panned the lackluster powertrain (a Chevy six and a two-speed
Powerglide automatic transmission). Chevrolet listened to the
customers, went to work, and saved the Corvette from almost certain
cancellation. By 1955, the all-new Chevy V8 was installed. In 1956,
the styling was made even cleaner and new engineer Zora
Arkus-Duntov was busy making the Corvette competitive on the
racetrack. It all came together in 1957 with styling untouched, but
the new V8 with optional four-speed manual transmission made
Corvette a fierce competitor on the track. Chevrolet advertising
called the 1957 'A new American classic,' and this boast was right
on money. This example offered here for sale is finished in
Venetian Red with Shoreline Beige coves that accentuate the
striking body lines which flows through to the Red interior.
Powered by the optional high horsepower 283ci V8 with the optional
dual quad setup rated at 270hp backed by a 3-speed manual
transmission. The car had previously been treated to a frame off
restoration and judged by the experts at NCRS winning the coveted
Top Flight Award. Since the restoration was completed, it has been
driven sparingly while being maintained with service receipts to
prove it. This car comes with a matching removable hard top and
white retractable soft top. The factory correct spinner hubcaps are
wrapped in a set of wide white wall bias ply tires for the classy
look of the 50's. Accompanying the sale of this beautiful Corvette
are NCRS Top Flight award, judging sheets, service receipts,
owner's manual and restoration documentation. If your desire is to
obtain a nicely maintained solid axle Corvette to drive and enjoy,
this car could be an excellent option for you. Additional Details:
