Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1975 Ford F250 4x4
Highboy. Finished in Hatteras Green, we believe this truck to be in
original paint. While is is showing patina throughout, it's not
rusty thanks to a life spent largely in Southern California. Body
is straight and solid, including floors, rockers, cab corners and
bed. Excellent original grille. We love the patina and think it has
an awesome look. New pro-comp 37x12.50 tries on 17-inch Mickey
Thompson alloy wheels provide a slightly modern touch without
appearing out of place on this classic 4x4 truck.
Interior presents to a good driver standard and is mostly original.
Factory A/C wasn't an option until 1977 on an F-series pickup, so
A/C was either dealer installed at the time or sale, or an
aftermarket installation somewhere down the road. All of the
components are intact on this truck but the A/C is not blowing
cold. Likewise the vintage 8-track and brake controller mounted
beneath the dash may or may not still work.
Under the hood is a 360 cubic inch V8 from Ford's venerable FE
big-block series mated to a four-speed manual transmission. And
like any true highboy, this truck has a divorced transfer case
mounted well behind the transmission (instead of mated directly to
it). This truck runs and drives well. It has power brakes but not
power steering, so needless to say it takes a bit of muscle to
parallel park.
