Vehicle Description
A powerful-looking exterior, comfy loaded interior, and awesome
suspension upgrades make this 1996 GMC Sonoma Pro Street an awesome
custom. And the value price leaves room in your budget to add the
big power motor of your choice. Then again, the fuel-injected V6
power this one already has is no slouch!
The instant attraction to this truck is the level of care that went
into its transformation. The factory-correct Olympic White has been
updated to make sure the good gloss shows off the clean body
panels. Plus, the golden racing stripes go over the top from bumper
to bumper to give this a winning attitude. The cowl hood, billet
grille, aerodynamic tonneau, and large rear wing are all part of
the big power presentation. And of course, the Weld Racing Draglite
polished wheels love to highlight the awesome fat rear tire stance.
This has the look of an impressive pro street machine because the
suspension hardware investments have already been made. But while
this was done to be an LS-based project, it's being sold before the
stock V6 was upgraded. So we bet there are also some of you out
there who just like the look of an outlaw-style pickup that still
has a daily driver level of sensibilities. There's even a clean
carpeted bed under the tonneau where the wider rear wheels have not
eliminated the usefulness.
And another reason why it's uniquely attractive to have a
stock-style motor is that the interior is quite stock, too. It
hasn't been gutted/lightened for race duty yet, and so you have an
attractive tan that almost looks like they mixed the colors of the
exterior's white and gold. The included window sticker shows this
was born a loaded SLS-trim pickup that includes comfy velour
upholstery, a fold-down center armrest, cup holders, a driver
airbag, an AM/FM stereo, a sliding rear window, tinted windows, and
cold-blowing air conditioning. So no matter your plans for the
future, this is a comfortable cruise on day one.
Under the hood is a proper level of flair for an upgraded truck
with polished components, including the upgraded air intake. And we
really like how the radiator shroud is painted to continue the
racing stripes. The 4.3-liter V6 was already a desirable motor to
have here because it was the largest of the Sonoma series in the
smallest/lightest single cab pickup. And these fuel-injected
powerhouses are quite stout in an actual miles truck like this. As
you check out the upgrades, you'll love the look of the rear
suspension. It's a full professional setup built by S&W Racing.
That means a reinforced four-link setup that includes a diagonal
link, LPW diff covers, and adjustable coilovers. And this extra
wide Mickey Thompson tires tuck into it all so nicely. And while
this is ready to be a big power machine, this is not some half-done
project. The exhaust was properly routed through the suspension
upgrades, and everything remains quite complete. And the power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive mean you have quite a solid
cruiser.
This GMC has a sharp and powerful style that's quite attractive. So
no matter if this is your base for the next step or you just want
an awesome cruiser, you know this is a hot deal on a cool custom
pickup. Call today!!!
