Vehicle Description
2007 Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is something like a Harley-Davidson. It's an
anachronism, and should probably be a dinosaur, but no, it's still
popular because it fills a need like no other vehicle. Despite its
inherent design limitations (we won't call them flaws), primarily
balance and storage, the Wrangler delivers inimitable fun.
Challengers have not been able to steal from the allure of the
Jeep. The dynasty lives on, Jeep engineers have kept the momentum
rolling by making timely improvements. Model year 2007 brings an
all-new Jeep Wrangler that, (no surprise), looks just like the old
Jeep, whatever 'old' Jeep you might be talking about. Can you name
one vehicle, (besides the Harley), that has changed its looks less,
in 60 years? -Thx to Autoblog.com
For consignment is the Wrangler in Base/Sport trim, which features
flagpole holders on the front bumper, 18-inch chrome wheels with
Nitto tires, a traditional Jeep hood and grille, black wheel
flares, and extra tuff broadcloth upholstery. This rig is a 2-owner
unit that has always been well maintained. Grand Teton National
Park, here we come!
Exterior
This 2-door tough little guy is all wrapped up in Jeep Green, a
color that is very retro and close to the appliances in most 1970's
homes. All paint is excellent and the deep end of the pool, with no
rust, and nearly factory perfect. Upfront the iconic Jeep grille
remains with vertical metal bars with chrome inserts and flanking
single headlights on either side. A black plastic covered front
bumper is below and sports a front hitch with a Ron's Racks
aluminum multi-tubed flag holder. Black fenders curve around
18-inch chrome XD wheels wrapped in aggressively treaded nearly new
285/65R18 blackwall Nitto rubber on all 4 corners. The well minded
gapped doors have chrome handles, big chrome mirrors and body
matching exposed hinges and a chrome step-up running board to help
with climbing aboard. On top is a black vinyl soft top with clear
plastic windows. On the very back, hangs the spare tire with a
matching wheel and rubber. Standard Jeep taillights with black
guards flank the spare tire and down below is another black plastic
covered bumper. All beautifully appointed and looking the
part...RADICAL!
Interior
A swing of the pea green doors reveals a mix of sand plastic panels
with smooth undulating round edges all highlighted by body matching
steel, allowing for any dirt to easily be washed away, and have
black actuators and window cranks embedded within. A nice storage
space is in the front corner of each door which is finished in a
diamond plate style to the plastic. Inside we have front high back
sand and stone broadcloth covered buckets and a rear full folding
bench. Between the buckets is a full-length floor console. Upfront
within the dash is a premium instrument cluster with a tachometer,
and temp gauges added in. Fronting the dash is a tilt wheel
steering column with a standard wheel and a driver's airbag. In
dash central is the factory AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo system that
when cranked up will scare off any wildlife nearby. Weather-tech
style floor mats are all over and protect the factory black
carpeting. In the way back is a small storage area with black
carpeting covering the floor surface. WAHOOOO!
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a very clean 3.8 liter V6 power plant fed by EFI
and capable of 202hp. On the back is a 42RLE 4-speed automatic
transmission which throws power rearward to a Dana 35c rear axle.
With the pull of a lever right next to the shift lever, you can
engage a Dana 30 front axle..."CLIMB EVERY MOUNTAIN..."
Undercarriage
A liberal coating of surface rust underneath with solid metal
structural framing, floor pans and rockers. Various transfer case
shields and skid plates protect against the rock elements you may
encounter in your climb efforts. 4-wheel power disc brakes for the
downhill descent, and a front radius arm and coil springs along
with a rear 3 link with coil spring suspension to dampen the rough
trails. MOTORIN'...
Drive-Ability
This tough beauty fired right up and on the test track pulled no
punches. All functions were working just fab and switching from 2
to 4 wheel drives was a breeze...LETS GIT A LITTLE MUD ON THE
TIRES!
Overall, this snazzy Jeep Green base/sport is well appointed,
looking great, and ready for any outdoor adventure you can throw at
it. All under the wonderful Jeep badge, a go anywhere
explorer...what say you Vasco Da Gama??? STRAP IN!!
