This 1983 Chevy K20 Silverado is a really clean, rust free, 1 Owner
truck. We have the original title from 1983 and the truck was
purchased from the original owner. This truck spent its life in
Oregon and the owner of this truck owned and operated a
transmission shop so this truck is extremely well maintained. You
can tell this truck was cared for by all of the little things and
also by the overall condition. This is a very cool and mostly
original truck. We rarely see them like this, especially being a 1
owner rig.
The body on this truck is in excellent original condition. It is
very straight and very clean and the paint looks to be all original
in the colors of Light Blue and White. The tailgate is a shade off
because this truck had a topper on it nearly its whole life and the
topper had the rear doors. All of the moldings, chrome, and
stainless are original and in nice original condition. The
underside is clean and original and we found no rust issues with
this truck on the topside or the underside. Since the bed was
always covered it is about as clean as you will find.
The interior of this truck is really cool and in great original
condition. The seat were replaced with bucket seats after it was
purchased and the seats look great and are very comfortable. (We do
have a freshly recovered bench seat that will come with the truck.)
I am pretty sure everything works on this truck: the headlights,
taillights, brake lights and turn signals are working. The gauges
are all working. It has aftermarket cruise control that works. The
heat, wipers, and horn all work. It is just really nice a cool
original interior.
Mechanically this truck is top notch. The owner of this truck was
very fastidious and took excellent care of this vehicle. The engine
was replaced at some point with a GM Crate engine in the late 90's
when the truck had around 70,000 miles on it. This was only done
because it was burning oil pretty badly (we have the receipt). This
new engine is still running strong with no issues or red flags. It
is mostly stock besides the added dual exhaust. The transmission is
the SM465 4 Speed Manual that shifts nice with a strong clutch. It
is mated to the np208 transfer case and the 4WD works like it
should. It has the Corporate 14 Bolt Rear End with 3.73 gears and
the Corporate 10 Bolt Front End with 3.73 gears. This is all
sitting on a set of original steel wheels with original hubcaps.
This is a really cool truck with a great history.
