RP EXOTICS IS PLEASED TO OFFER THIS 1968 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS/SS CUSTOM COUPE! Powered by a GM Performance LS3 525 HP V8 crate engine with a custom-built engine cover and ceramic-coated stainless headers, backed up with a T56 Magnum 6 speed and Currie 9-inch rear end. The exhaust is a 3-inch stainless X-pipe system. Dual electric fans and double-pass aluminum rad keep the engine cool and a Spectre cold-air intake keeps it breathing. Front suspension is Speedtech Performance's Pro touring sub-frame with high-clearance upper and lower control arms, Q1A dual adjustable coilovers and Unisteer rack & pinion steering. Rear suspension is Speedtech's Torque arm system with Q1A dual adjustable coilovers. Stopping power is provided by Willwood discs all around and Hydratech power brakes. It all sits on Forgeline GZ3 wheels and Michelin Pilot tires. Under the hood is a custom-built hood cover, shaved firewall, hidden Raingear wiper motor, billet hood hinges and latch along with many other details. All the panel gaps and chrome trim are nice and tight and parallel throughout. Custom door hinges were built to allow for tighter fit between the doors and fenders. All the seams between quarter-panels and body have been welded and smoothed out. Bulky backup lights have been removed and oval dual exhaust cutouts added, '68 Camaro wide door and quarter-panel chrome. customized electric mirrors. Door and trunk keys have been removed, and the trunk key has been replaced with a backup camera, rear sequential LED taillights and a '69 Trans Am spoiler. Inside the car, the dash is a '68 Camaro dash with custom AutoMeter gauges and a custom-built sweeping console housing, the center AC outlet , a Pioneer 7-inch touchscreen head unit, air conditioning and heater controls, cup holders, controls for windows, doors, mirrors and a storage compartment. The seats are bolstered leather reclining seats with three-point retractable seat belts front and rear. Some other features are power windows, doors, mirrors, push-button start, keyless entry and tilt steering. Other than about 10% original sheet metal, everything is brand-new.
