Vehicle Description
This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette is a classic with a high degree of
originality everywhere from the numbers-matching V8 to the bright
silver paint. So you're going to love showing off this ultra-low
mileage T-top coupe that has seen an impressive amount of
preservation and care.
It may seem nearly impossible, but it's true...The ultra-low
mileage on the odometer is believed to be the accurate distance for
this Corvette. It makes for an exceptionally preserved example from
the Corvette's 25th anniversary year. So for the silver
anniversary, the car's appropriate silver finish is not only the
factory-correct color, but it's also believed to be the
factory-applied finish. It has a touch of maturity while also
retaining a radiant look in the sunshine to really confirm its
decades of care. In fact, this is an all-around impressive survivor
with good body panel alignment, tight gaps, and the T-tops that
seal nicely. It all looks quite stock, right down to the optional
aluminum wheels with Goodyear Eagle ST tires.
The Oyster interior has a nice clean look against the silver
exterior. Everything from the carpeting to the door panels has a
clean and crisp look of good care. Even the courtesy lights work.
So you'll love driving this one with the T-tops out to show it off.
It has a nice stock style, but there are also well-placed upgrades
that you can really enjoy, like the tinted windows and an AM/FM/CD
stereo with aux input for better driving music. And you'll likely
want to upgrade/service that factory air conditioning for modern
R134a. The C3 Corvette's full gauge package is an instant reminder
that this is a driver's machine. The smooth steering wheel,
tilt/telescopic column, and full gauge package make it easy to
enjoy the open road. So while the mileage is so low, we bet you
won't be able to resist adding to the odometer.
The original numbers-matching L-48 350 cubic inch V8 is still
providing the power. It has a well-maintained style and a distinct
bright blue on the block. This original V8 remains a solid runner,
and that makes for a good cruiser with the smooth-shifting
three-speed automatic transmission. And if you've picked up on the
theme of driving this classic, it's because a car like this really
offers a terrific experience. It has power steering, four-wheel
power disc brakes, and a fully independent sports suspension for a
confident dive. There are even newer Bilstein shocks
all-around.
The sale comes complete with owner's manual and car cover. This is
a respected survivor from quite a significant model year. So if you
love elegance and history, call today!
