Vehicle Description
Get a good look, everyone, because this is currently the nastiest,
fastest, most brutal modern Mustang you can own today. This
1-owner, special-ordered 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 boasts a
litany of upgrades on what was already a very fast car, all wrapped
in the most brutal Carbonized Gray Metallic wrapper we've ever
seen. The laundry list of Shelby Performance upgrades on this
low-mile beauty have it knocking down the door of genuine super-car
territory, putting it a notch above all the Shelbys that came
before it. As ferocious as a production muscle car gets with 760
horsepower at the ready, ask yourself if you've actually got the
stones before you pick up the phone and call - because this Shelby
Cobra was built for a very special breed.
Unlike many of the GT500's before it, this particular '21 model
eschews flashy stripes and brightly colored excess for a more
sinister, devious look. The upgrades to the bodywork are plentiful,
including a purpose-built Shelby front fascia punctuated by an
aggressive chin splitter, a blacked-out Shelby grille, a fully
functional unique Shelby ram-air hood, an aluminum front-bumper
beam, and Shelby rocker panel accents at the low flanks. Out back,
the party continues with slick rear spoiler, beefy diffuser with
gaping quad exhaust pipes, and a slick tailpanel embossed with the
Cobra badge that lets every challenger know exactly what just flew
by. There's no mistaking the 6th gen Mustang shape, but in this
car's case, it's steroid-injected and powered up to 11. It's just
beautifully built, as it had better be with that sticker price, and
with only 3059 original miles, it remains in virtually
factory-fresh condition. Carbonized Gray Metallic paint is the
perfect choice for a car this violent on the eyes, and the
miles-deep paint has been uniquely augmented with a set of
high-gloss, ebony vinyl racing stripes that shoot down the center
of the body and provide the perfect contrast. Add in the optional
hood pins and those iconic Cobra emblems on the fenders and you've
got an electrifying package of pure awesomeness. It's obviously
been painstakingly maintained since it was first delivered, and all
the special top-flight Shelby add-ons the original owner selected
make it distinctive, even in a land of high-visibility Mustangs.
It's never been wrecked, obviously, and if you've been sitting on
the sidelines waiting for the next big thing, well, it's about to
pass you going 180MPH.
In keeping with the dark-and-mysterious theme, the black leather
interior is also beautifully finished and nicely upgraded. The
GT500 Exclusive Trim Package includes black leather hides spread
tight over sporty seats with white stitching that match the very
Cobra emblems in the seatbacks, and off-setting white accent
stripes in the seats, center console, and door panels give a
distant nod to the Mach 1 Mustang interiors of old. A grippy,
Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel complete with paddle shifters
anchor the cabin, plush black carpets come protected with matching
floor mats, and a carbon-fiber accented sporty dash features an
enumerates GT500 plaque that signifies its place in history.
There's a rotary gearshift dial that manages the 7-speed automatic
transmission and the bright digital gauges ahead of the steering
wheel are joined by a set auxiliary dials neatly arranged on top of
the center of the dash, wedged between the center A/C vents. A 12"
touchscreen navigation system/back-up camera and AM/FM/CD/AUX
stereo lives in the center of the dash above the fighter-jet style
switchboard, and just about every feature you can imagine is
standard equipment, ranging from A/C, to power everything, a
back-up camera, and enough airbags to rival a minivan. Ford
Performance sill plates put an exclamation point on things, and
much like the rest of the car, everything inside is showroom fresh,
including the trunk.
The 5.2-liter Supercharged V8 is a very special motor, which is
exactly why it has an individual signature plaque for the person it
was hand-built for (it's the kind of thing you see on an AMG
Mercedes). Ford calls this powerhouse the Predator, and it
certainly earns its name. This is a 760-horsepower juggernaut, and
so this pony can even dine on Lamborghini bulls. In fact, this one
is atheistic enough to keep up with and surpass most of the exotics
out there. That's because it comes standard with magnetic ride
control that instantly adjusts the fully independent suspension to
all conditions. The Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch transmission has
an everyday easy automatic mode, but when it comes time for fun,
those paddle shifters have a quicker shift action than you could
even make with a stick. The Brembo four-wheel disc brakes,
electronic power steering, and Michelin Pilot Sport tires complete
a package designed to deliver awesome grip and total control. Full
boost is there before you can get your foot on the floor, but you
need to be at the top of your game to get the most out of it. If
you're a poser, you're going to get hurt, but learn to dance with
it and this Cobra will reward you with performance that'll tear
your face off. A Shelby-tuned, variable dual exhaust consists of
Borla's finest components and the whole show is capped off by a set
of 20-inch forged aluminum black wheels carrying 305/30/20 front
and 315/30/20 rear Michelin performance radials.
Documented with Shelby provenance, window sticker, and original
manuals, this is investment-grade Shelby is at the very top of the
food chain. If you want the best-of-the-best when it comes to
modern classics, you're looking at it. Call today!
