This classic 1966 Corvette convertible is powered by a 327/300 V8, with a 4 speed manual transmission and Holley 4-barrel carburetor. This numbers matching, 35 years under one owner vehicle underwent a complete body-off-frame restoration in 2020. Work included stripping and refinishing the body and frame, installing replacement wiring, replacing the interior and brake components and rebuilding the engine, transmission and rear axle. This C2 corvette is offered with hard top, spare parts, restoration photos and Ohio title in the seller's name.
The car is finished in Ermine white and features a white convertible soft-top, power-retractable antenna, a driver-side mirror, concealed headlights, split chrome bumperettes, fender vents, reverse lamps, and a duel-outlet exhaust that exits through the rear valance. The original hideaway headlamp motors are refurbished.
The 15" steer wheels have chrome faux knockoff covers and are mounted with newer 205/75 Firestone and Sigma white-stripe tires. The chassis was stripped and refinished, and the hydraulic disk brakes and suspension where replaced.
The cabin features bucket seats reupholstered in jewel blue leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. An analog clock is mounted in the center stack, and additional features include a reverse lock-out shifter, heater and defroster, a lockable glovebox, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio. The seat covers, carpets, and wiring harness were replaced during the restoration.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 200 miles were added by the seller after restoration.
The 327ci V8 breathes through a Holley four-barrel carburetor and features a polished air cleaner lid and ignition cover. The engine was rebuilt during the two year restoration and the carburetor, engine wiring harness, hoses, belts, and fuel system have been replaced. The original alternator and generator have been refurbished.
