Born a 6 Cyl T-37, Now Transformed to a 455Ci H.O.
A Pontiac Enthusiast / Racer rescued this 71 LeMans
from an Indiana field in 2007,, We have a picture of this car sitting in the field. ..
At first his intention was only to do an engine transplant from the factory 6cyl to a V8..
The project quickly went another direction.. A complete frame off restoration ensued.
The car was completely dismantled and the frame was powder coated.
All the suspension was sand blasted & powder coated as well.
The body was pretty nice to begin with, She has zero rust...
The original paint was just tired.. Now has Stunning Tropical Lime paint..
The Body is straight as a pin.. Steel wheels w/ Firestone G70-14 Wide
Oval's & NOS Dog dish hubcaps.. Rear wing added.. Still has all 4 T-3 headlights.
The chrome bumpers, grills and trim are excellent overall..
All the original glass is in beautiful shape..
The engine is a 1974 455Ci H.O. "D" port Block bored .030 over, Sealed Power Forged pistons,
Crower hydraulic camshaft, Heads are #66 completely reworked with Ferrea valves,
Correct Intake manifold & Exhaust manifolds. Reworked distributor with crane conversion
& Recurve by Rotella.. A Quadrajet carburetor built by Ruggles..
Also has Power Steering & Heavy duty Radiator.. Beautifully detailed engine bay..
Killer sounding aluminized X pipe dual exhaust with Xlerator mufflers.
Transmission is a Turbo 350 Automatic with mild shift kit..
The 10 bolt rear end upgraded to an Auburn Posi unit w/ Richmond 3.55:1 gears..
Boxed rear control arms & Heavy duty sway bar. New Driveshaft,
The interior is Very nice overall, The Seats & Carpet were redone in 2008,
but the door panels & headliner are original to the car. The dash is real nice..
All the seatbelts are original and present. Has Tach & Gauges.. Factory Am radio..
The miles on the current PA title reads 27,038 Actual miles..
The plastic speedo gear is faulty.
We have the original owners manual, Protecto plate & warranty info book..
