Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1973
Yamaha RD 250 in fantastic condition and only 6,095 original miles.
This Yamaha looks absolutely amazing in Butterfly Blue with a white
strip and black accents.
We have this motorcycle priced to sell and are offering an
excellent opportunity to own a very desirable classic motorcycle at
an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this bike now and sell it
for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on
classic motorcycles is absolutely red hot right now and on the
rise. This is especially true for the rare examples like this
Yamaha. There are very few RD 250's even on the market right
now.
Cosmetics
The exterior is in great condition. As one can see in the photos,
the paint has a smooth finish and nice shine. We believe that the
paint as well as the decals are original. The seat is in great
condition with no rips, splits, or holes. The chrome and other
brightwork has a brilliant finish and no pitting. Overall, this
Yamaha looks as good in person as it does in all the photos.
This bike has no rust issues.
Mechanical
This Yamaha RD 250 seems to be in very good mechanical condition.
It recently received some. The bike rides great and feels nice on
the road. In the video one can observe the bike accelerating up to
about 35mph, shifting through all the gears, braking, and going
through some turns. Please note that there are no strange noised or
vibrations and the bike performs quite well overall. The two-cycle
engine starts easily every time. The front and rear brakes are
responsive. The transmission shifts well and the shifter feels
precise. Also, the engine is beautifully clean and detailed as one
can see in the photos.
Everything on the bike appears to be in working order. The
speedometer, odometer, and tachometer all work. All of the lights
work as one can see in the video. As with many older carbureted
engines this bike is a bit cold blooded, but always starts with a
few kicks. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it
is to ride this bike.
Overall
Overall, this 1973 Yamaha RD 250 is an excellent original classic
bike. The beautiful original color combination, excellent
condition, and the rarity make this RD 250 especially important and
very hard to duplicate. The value of these bikes has gone up
exponentially in recent years. They are all solid investments for a
collector. One could easily enjoy this Honda for several years and
sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
