1951 Chevrolet 3-Window Pickup Truck Resto Mod
Car History
We have a 1951 restored and modified Chevrolet 3-window pickup
truck here at Adventure Classics that has had a professional
restoration and modified drivetrain to make it a super street rod
truck.
The 1951 trucks are one of the most popular trucks of all time is a
surefire way to attract attention. Chevrolet broke away from prewar
truck styling marketed as the Advanced Design trucks. They placed
an emphasis on cab comfort and safety.
One look under the hood or underneath the chassis on this dream
truck and you will see all the work and man-hours that has went
into making this one sweet truck.
Engine & Drivetrain
Underneath the hood resides a gorgeous Chevrolet LS3 engine with a
slew of goodies on it like the billet valve covers, polished
intake, chrome ram air open element system, chrome and polished
power steering and brake units, Vintage Air, serpentine belt
system, injection, tubular headers leading back to dual exhausts,
modified radiator, and more.
It is mated to an 4-speed automatic transmission so this truck just
begs for the next rod run rolling on 5-spoke polished mag wheels
and black sidewall tires to finish the period custom look and is
further enhanced with front disc brakes and a suspension you could
eat off of, power brakes and steering.
Interior
Inside it has a comfortable restored interior with the seat wrapped
in red vinyl that looks and feels great as you are driving. The red
painted dash has performance black face gauges nestled into it,
matching red door panels, tan headliner, black and red floor mats,
air conditioning, and the polished and chrome shifter on the
floor.
The steering column is topped by a brushed aluminum and carbon
fiber steering wheel that really gives the interior an upscale feel
with entertainment coming from a custom Pioneer stereo radio system
that's integrated into the dash.
Exterior
The bright red is applied over very straight bodywork and shines
great night or day, has well-restored chrome and trim, the
desirable 3-window cab, red painted bed is beautifully restored
with a rubber floor mat, and great front and rear chrome
bumpers.
The red paint is offset by the cream-colored top making this truck
a real two-tone beauty.
Conclusion
The 1951 Chevrolet 3-window Resto Mod pickup truck here at
Adventure Classics is beautifully built and restored with the right
look, stance, and modern powerplant, and it is everything you want
in a custom classic pickup truck.
