For Sale: 1970 GMC C/K 2500 in Grand Rapids, Michigan
1970 GMC K2500 Stepside Pickup - Texas Truck - 350 V8 4x4 - 73
Miles Since Restored - Power Steering, Power Brakes - Air
Conditioning The pick-up featured here is just one of many
outstanding vintage trucks Garage Kept Motors has availble for
sale. With just 73 miles on this truck since it was restored, this
is an outstanding turn-key vehicle with some very subtle resto-mods
and upgrades. This truck started out as rust free truck originally
from Texas. It was treated to a body off restoration and the paint
was professionally applied over well executed body work which
includes a custom cowl induction hood. The custom black cherry
paint is based on a Harley Davidson color, which has been polished
to a high luster. Body panel fitment is consistent and tight.
Subtle upgrades include the relocation of the gas tank, and a
custom fuel filler inlet has been fabricated toward the rear of the
driver's side fender. The bumpers have been blacked out and are
complimented with blacked out custom step running boards. The bed
floor features a custom finished wood floor with polished stainless
trim. The undercarriage has been fully restored and rebuilt. The
suspension features a 4 lift with heavy duty multi-leaf springs
which add an additional 2 to the lift. The 14-bolt rear end
features a G2 rear cover to add additional strength to the rear
differential. Gas shocks help dampens the ride but keeps the
oversized Fuzion radial tires wrapped around blacked out steel rims
firmly planted to the terrain. Other features include power front
disc brakes with rear drums and power steering. Under the hood has
been highly detailed and presents in nearly show quality. The heart
of this upgraded drivetrain is a 350cid small block Chevrolet V8
with a mild performance camshaft, aluminum intake topped by an
Edelbrock Performer 4bbl carburetor. The fuel mixture is lit by an
HEI ignition and flows through long branch headers into a custom
bent 2.5 exhaust into large body Flowmaster mufflers that exit out
back through chrome tipped tailpipes. This hot set up is kept cool
by a custom aluminum radiator. Inside the cabin has been completely
restored with custom touches abounding and converting this former
work horse into a true Cowboy Cadillac. The factory vinyl floor mat
remains which is about the only stock feature that remains. The
door panels have been treated to a custom upholstered treatment
featuring a two color scheme that continues throughout the interior
into the custom bucket seats. Above there is a custom headliner
with overhead speakers and storage bin. Music fills the cabin the
through a Custom Autosound unit with additional speakers to the
overhead units in the kick panels. Other options include tilt
steering column with custom billet steering wheel embossed with GMC
logo and column mounted gear selector shifts the automatic
transmission. The engine vitals are monitored by Dakota Digital
Gauges with carbon fiber face and the rearview mirror has been
upgraded to a modern electronic unit with directional guidance. The
interior stays cool with custom Vintage Air A/C/ that blows cold
air. The four-wheel drive is manual shifted inside the cab with a
custom leather knob. This is an amazing truck that has the classic
vintage looks that have made these trucks so popular with modern
amenities of a new truck, and not only looks great also sounds
amazing too. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific
questions. Thank you for looking.
