This beautiful, garage-kept C5 Corvette is a completely original
Torch Red coupe with removable targa-top (body-painted). The
odometer reading of 47,700 is most likely correct. The original
paint has been very well maintained and is in near flawless
condition. Goodyear Eagle F1 performance radials are mounted on
factory 5-spoke chrome alloy wheels (17"f/18"r). The black leather
interior is outstanding and all gauges are working perfectly, as is
the air conditioning system. Corvette C5 standard equipment
includes a security system, power tinted windows, tilt wheel, power
locks, cruise, traction control and dual airbags. As with all C5s,
this car is equipped with power steering and 4-wheel ABS power disc
brakes. Other optional equipment includes power seats, Head-Up
Display, fog lamps and Bose AM/FM sound system. The factory
drivetrain is based on the 5.7 Liter LS1 motor. This 10:1
compression engine produces 350 BHP @5600 RPM in stock
configuration with the Sequential Multi-Port Injection System
(MPI). The power is delivered through a six-speed manual gearbox.
Sixth gear is an overdrive ratio that allows the motor to turn at
about 1,400 RPM when running 70 MPH, delivering excellent gas
mileage. This 2001 Corvette is an outstanding example of the C5.
