There are few cars that are as instantly recognizable as the Ford
Mustang Mach 1. The Mach 1 was cherished by sports car enthusiasts
and racers alike thanks to its powerful V8 engine, nimble
suspension and great sports car styling. It was a beauty on the
streets and a force to be reckoned with on the track. This 1971
Ford Mustang Mach 1 is an excellent, show-quality example
benefitting from a recent, factory-correct, nut-and-bolt
restoration. This Mustang Mach 1 is finished in its factory
correct, Bright Blue Metallic and complimented nicely by silver,
Mach 1 stripes and factory equipped Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in
the correct Wide Oval raised white letter tires. The Bright Blue
Metallic exterior paint shines excellently and is in excellent
condition with few to no defects to note. The body is extremely
straight and rust free. The bottom side of the car has been very
nicely detailed and painted to the quality of the top side.
Powering this excellent factory equipped Ram Air Mustang Mach 1 is
its correct date-coded, M-code, 351-4V Cleveland V8 backed by its
correct date-coded C6, 3-speed automatic transmission. The M-code,
351-4V V8 was the more powerful precursor to the highly sought
after Q-code, Cobra Jet 351-4V V8. The M-code 351-4V Cleveland V8
was only offered in the Mustang in 1970 and part way through 1971.
Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should with
no issues. The factory correct, Black knit vinyl interior is in
excellent condition with only a few defects of note. This Mustang
Mach 1 is nicely equipped with options such as: Mach 1 sports
interior options, power steering, power front disc brakes, ram air
hood, center console, in-dash tach, AM/FM stereo, and variable
speed wipers. If you are in the market for a rare, show-quality
Mustang that runs and drives just as excellent as it presents, then
you will want to take a very close look at this excellent, M-code,
1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
