Vehicle Description
This here is a very unique 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS. Introduced in
the fall of 1966 for the 1967 model year, the Camaro was
Chevrolet's answer to the Ford Mustang. For 1968, the Camaro
experienced few changes. With the introduction of Astro
Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system, the side vent windows were
deleted. Side marker lights were added on the front and rear
fenders as part of safety requirements for all 1968 vehicles. It
also had a more pointed front grille and divided rear taillights.
The RS package, standing for "Rally Sport" and of which this car is
an example, was designed specifically to give the Camaro a trendy
feel and look. The package included hidden headlights, revised
tail-lights, RS badging, and different exterior trim. This car has
been taken care of extremely well and is believed to be a 4-owner,
71,924 original mile car. Powered by a 327 C.I. "ME"-Code V8, this
spiffy Camaro has the ability to get up and go. The engine breathes
through a factory-spec 2-barrel carburetor and power gets to the
rear wheels through a 2-speed "Powerglide" automatic transmission.
The car comes with the original 'V"-code "Sequoia Green" paint that
shines beautifully. The black TMI bucket seats make the ride in
this car extremely comfortable to drive, allowing for trips to your
distant car shows. In addition, this stunning Camaro is fitted with
power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, an aluminum
radiator, a horseshoe shifter, a working factory clock, factory
gauges, hideaway headlights, and dual chrome mirrors. The car rides
on a great set of original-style rally wheels paired to another
great set of Hankook blackwall tires. This beautiful Rally Sport
drives just as nicely as it looks. If you're looking for a unique
Camaro that has the capability to drive for the long haul, this
might be the one for you!
