HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful Raven Black paint over classic black and
white bench seat interior! 312 Thunderbird V8! Nice highly-correct
restoration ready for a new home! Never offered for sale since
1962!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and solid, and really looks
fantastic. This car was restored to a very high degree in the past,
and it really shows! This car appears to be largely original as far
as sheet metal goes, and the body is super clean. All of the
brightwork, emblems, etc. are in excellent shape. Even the
underside is clean!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The Raven Black is an eye-catching and
lesser-seen color that really gives this Thunderbird a unique look.
Complete with both a white hard and soft top, it is hard to beat
this classic look. The recent repaint looks fantastic, which really
shows the pride of ownership this car has had since it was
restored. Look around, and you'll find factory stamp markings just
about everywhere-including on the driveshaft!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is what really completes
the look on this T-bird! Black and white interior with the matching
Raven Black exterior is a clean and classy combination sure to
please any crowd. It really highlights the air of personal luxury
these cars had when new! The interior, much like the exterior, is
in great overall condition showing almost no signs of wear. Truly,
this car received a top-shelf restoration.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The 312 V8 runs like a champ, and starts
readily with a turn of the key. This 1957 Thunderbird has that
nice, subtle V8 exhaust sound you'd expect! The automatic
transmission shifts smoothly, and this car is all the fun a classic
T-bird should be. Despite being spec'd as a fairly low option car
with no power options, this car is a delight to drive and would be
considered by many to be a drivable show car.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: That classic 1950s Americana look!
Plus, it has had the same owner for nearly 50 years!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Manual drum brakes and manual
steering aren't for everyone, but we don't think it takes away from
the driving experience of this vehicle.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Nothing but a new home!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a nicely
restored classic Thunderbird should consider this car. This is a
fantastic example that is ready for a new owner!
