For Sale: 1986 Chevrolet Corvette in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Clean, 53k-mile, 1986 Corvette! LT1 V8, auto transmission, great affordable weekend driver! Classic C4 'Vette!

BODY OVERVIEW: The exterior is in nice original condition; exactly the condition one would expect for a well-maintained 53,000 mile car that has seen some road use. Sitting on later C4 'sawblade' wheels, this Corvette looks right!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This Corvette is finished in the correct color Medium Gray Metallic paint with the factory-optioned black lower paint. There are some minor, normal signs of wear as would be expected, given that this appears to be original paint, but the condition is pleasantly surprising for a Corvette of this vintage.

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is in condition consistent with the condition of the rest of the car. It appears to be the original interior, and is the correct original color per the RPO codes. There are minimal defects and wear consistent with casual use. The seats are comfortable and everything seems to work as it should. While there is some mild creasing in the leather from use, this can be expected of any car this age that has been driven. Nonetheless, the interior is in impressive condition-even the plastics!

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a 5.7 liter TPI LT-1 V8 hooked up to a 4 speed automatic transmission. This is the perfect car for carefree cruising! The engine runs smoothly and the car handles well. It drives just as you'd expect a 53k-mile 1986 Corvette to!

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The overall condition and the level of originality. Plus, that factory gray-black two-tone is pretty slick!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: There's not much to dislike! If you're looking for a 100% documented, show-winning car, this probably isn't it, but it is a well-preserved example nonetheless.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The power antenna and reverse lights are not currently operational.

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This is a great example of a well-preserved C4 Corvette that is nice enough to show, but not too nice to drive. At this price-point, this car is for the discerning buyer looking to get a great classic Corvette without spending an arm and a leg.
