For Sale: 1966 Chevrolet C10 in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

The C10 was a legendary leap ahead in style and comfort, and this 1966 Chevrolet C10 Custom is the last of this original generation. So it's great to see it restored to show off the best in vintage style while also having the right upgrades for modern cruising comfort - including ice-cold A/C.

The paint package makes you fall in love with this truck. The two-tone red with white accents is an all-America kind of style that's as timeless as a Coca-Cola bottle. This is a product of professional application that really attracts a crowd with its high-gloss finish. And they invested in far more than just quality paint. The body panels are super straight, the glass is clean, the rubber is pliable, and there's an overall look of quality. And all the brightwork is also complete and shining brightly - including the chrome bumpers, grille, classic hubcaps, and the full-length side trim. In fact, it has so much brightwork that this Chevy has as much appeal as a '66 Impala - and that sedan doesn't come with a gorgeous real wood truck bed!

The red and white theme continues inside. Everything from the clean carpeting to the freshly recovered bench seat has a quality look and feel. Even the dome light is working. This classic wants to be driven, and so you have the right well-placed upgrades that make the cruising more comfortable, including a retro-style AM/FM stereo, and cold-blowing air conditioning. Plus, the wood and billet steering wheel has the kind of grip that feels commanding.

This engine bay is dressed to impress with smooth inner walls, tidy wires, and plenty of shine from the finned valve covers, air cleaner, and much more. But what we like best is how this one loves to be vintage while also still being a proper cruiser. The C10s were just entering the small block era for a first-gen C10 like this so a 283 cubic-inch V8 is the right size for a truck like this. But they made sure it now has the right amount of pep with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum intake. The Powerglide automatic transmission is another one of those cool/classic pieces. Plus, the undercarriage really shows off fresher investments to make this a great cruiser. The newer suspension components give this a confident feeling on the road, and don't forget to notice the C10's desirable trailing arm rear. And there's also power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a strong 12-bolt rear end.

The sale comes complete with the original warranty card and the owner's manual. This is the cool two-tone truck with the power and comfort upgrades you want to make it a road-ready cruiser. So when your dream pickup is already ready, all you have to do is call today!
