Vehicle Description
Two-tone, extended cab, fuel-injected V8 power, a loaded interior,
and 4x4 prowess are all part of what makes this 1995 Dodge Dakota
SLT an exceptional mix of practical and comfortable. So there's
plenty of appeal here that goes beyond a well-priced classic with a
low ownership history.
Dodge trucks just seem to have a unique presence. After all, the
Dakota slotted below the Ram in the lineup, but it was by no means
a small truck. In fact, with the maximized size of the extended
cab's length and 4x4's height, this one owns the road or trail. But
intimidation is not its real appeal. This is an upper-trim SLT
trim, and it's believed to only have two owners over its life thus
far (the odometer is even believed to reflect the full actual
mileage.) So there is a premium and preserved feeling in its first
impression. You see it in the radiant metallic of the
factory-correct Emerald Green Metallic and Grey Metallic two-tone.
There's the right amount of polish with the 15-inch alloys, grille,
and bumpers all shining nicely. And while this one doesn't look
like it has done much big labor, there are still tow mirrors, a
hitch wiring plug, and a nicely lined bed means this 4x4 remains
quite versatile.
More advantages of the premium SLT trim are seen inside. It's
loaded with the best features like power windows, power locks,
sliding rear glass, an armrest center console, an upgraded AM/FM/CD
stereo with USB input, and provisions for air conditioning (it will
need servicing to blow cold again.) You have two comfortable
high-back bucket seats up front, which is something you didn't get
in too many pickups. And while the S-10s and Rangers of the era had
rear jump seats, the larger Dakota has a proper rear bench that's
good for kids and/or securing cargo. It's built for enjoying the
drive with an airbag steering wheel, tilt steering column, and full
gauges with a large speedo & tach.
Under the hood is proper Mopar power with their hardy 5.2-liter/318
cubic-inch V8. It looks stock, preserved, and well-presented. And
because this is from a more modern era than many other classic
trucks, you get worthwhile features like fuel injection. The
two-speed 4x4 transfer case has auto-locking hubs, and it gives you
proper go-anywhere ability. But power steering and power brakes
with discs up front remind you this is built to be an all-around
solid cruiser. Cruise control and a four-speed automatic
transmission with highway-friendly overdrive even makes it nice for
the long haul.
Dodges are a rarer sight than the Chevys and Fords out there, so a
Dakota preserved to this level is absolutely noteworthy. And with
all its features and 4x4 prowess, you just know you can enjoy this
one to the fullest. Call today!!!
