Vehicle Description
It's alright to stop and stare at this 1970 GMC 1500 pickup,
because we all will, too. That's what happens when you have a full
patina body and an adjustable suspension that can be set to kiss
the ground. But as you look over all the details - including
fuel-injected stroker V8 - you see this truck has far more invested
in it than just its stance.
Being able to pull up to a cruise-in and being able to drop your
car down low right on demand looks terrific, but it takes a lot of
work to get there. First, it must look the part of a cool custom.
In this case, it has the rat rod style of a full patina body... but
have you noticed the gloss? This uses linseed oil to seal in the
aged style and bring out the tones of the metal. So we love that
this is a long bed just so it can showcase even more of the sheen.
This is not a poser kind of rat rod, and so anything that was
chrome is not black, and the body is proudly imperfect. There are
the right touches of custom with the raised bed floor, LED tail
lights, and clear tri-bar quad headlights. Plus, those 20-inch KMC
wheels fit with the dark style while looking awesome when the
adjustable air ride gets low and tucks these into the body.
The interior keeps the rat rod style going. That means "found"
parts like the rough cut carpet and late model split-bench seat.
Any real investments were all about making it a better driver's
machine. That's why you have the Grant sports steering wheel and
full Dakota Digital gauge package. And the center of the dash has
both your full air ride controls and EFI readout screen.
The engine bay is a minimalist style where the inner fenders are
removed to get the right suspension travel. But as you look closer,
you can see the powerhouse is secretly rewarding. This is a 383
cubic-inch stroker V8. Not only does that mean big block kind of
displacement in a small block weight, but also this is a motor was
done by the performance masters at BluePrint. The Holley Sniper
electronic fuel injection system gives it the ideal power and
consistency. And those polished headers look terrific while also
adding to the power and rumble of this V8. As you look underneath,
you'll spot the right pieces for proper suspension travel, like the
notched frame and four-link rear. Plus, a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern
sport tires are a package made for easy cruising.
This is the kind of cool custom that gets all eyes on you. So if
you love an attention-getter, don't let this rat rod pickup slip
away. Call today!!!
