I left them there as you guessed it. rusty. rest of truck completly rust free. got it home and found the inner rockers just starting to come through after crawling around underneath it. they have been replaced, so yeah its a rust free square body, and a rare one. build sheet loaded. has front sway bar, dual tanks, silverado package, car style factory mirrors, vinyl perforated headliner, 12 bolt rear diff, chrome rear bumper. I had a c4 corvette motor with less than 40K that went in it. original turbo 350 super clean and so was the fluid. they never drained it. I put it all back together with so many new parts not listing all of them. In my shop this thing is around 70% restored. spent a lot of time and money getting it where it is now. runs, drives, stops. you could drive it home if it had plates. most of the body parts were media blasted and everything but the cab is in high quality epoxy primer. cut in everything with the original rosedale red paint.
