1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
This 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser is a removable soft top model purchased by the owner for a complete frame off restoration and engine overhaul. Powered by a 3.9-liter 1F inline-six, 4-speed manual transmission. A body-off and frame strip repaint was performed. This FJ40 is offered with new removable soft-top and clean Mississippi title.
This is a frame off restoration. The body was taken to bare metal before being repainted its current black aggregate metallic finish. Exterior equipment includes passenger mounted jack, driver side mounted snorkel, center mounted LED spotlight on front bumper, and two circular spotlights affixed to front as well as rear mounted spotlight on passenger side.
Aftermarket Mickey Thompson Baja 33 inch tires, with 17 inch black rims. The front axle is equipped with manually lockable hubs with a spare-tire mounted on a swing away carrier at the rear. New black canvas soft top included.
The interior includes brand new, authentic black leather, with blue stitching on driver and passenger bucket seats, as well as rear bench seat. Interior door panels in matching stitched leather. Manual crank windows. Two front door access with split rear door access. Color matched spray-in insulation on underbody, with additional insulation layer on floor pan and side walls finished with black vinyl. Newly installed stereo system with new speakers, CD, and Bluetooth capability.
A 3-spoke steering wheel fronts a rebuilt stock gauge cluster that houses a 160-kph (km/hour) speedometer and a 5-digit odometer that shows 43.5 km since restoration. Total mileage unknown.
Current owner had 3.9L 1F inline-six engine rebuilt. 4-speed transmission. New starter, alternator, distributor, spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filters. All new hoses and lines. New wiring harness with updated fuse box. Complete mechanical overhaul.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through 4-speed manual gearbox and transfer case. New ball joints, tie rod ends, body mounts, and suspension bushings have been fitted. New brake components were installed including all four disc brakes.
