This Ford Model A pickup offers the unique feeling of an old-style hot rod, but modern conveniences like a fuel injected V8 makes it truly standout. This is the iconic shape of the Model A pickup, but with tighter body gaps and terrific metallic paint. It’s a fiberglass body truck, but the body is up to steel standards. Thus, it has true driver’s appeal because you can go for a 1930s style cruise without the apprehension. This truck was built with the idea to be as straight and clutter-free as possible. Upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the butter-smooth fenders and expertly deleted bumpers. In fact, the doors and tonneau cover both have electronic remotes so they can have a true flush mounting on this slick ride. It’s a modern look that is accented by the modern Cherry Red Crystal Pearlcoat paint that’s looking exceptionally fresh given there is only 1,300 miles on the whole build. There's plenty of modern aggression with the Coys alloys that are staggered 18/20 inches front/rear for an intimidating stance.
Inside, this 1930s-style machine has been customized to be the most comfortable cruiser you will find anywhere. It starts with the light tan leather bucket seats. This quality presentation continues with the side panels, headliner, and even the carpet piping for a full uniform presentation. As you can tell from the pictures, this one has a lot of extras you don't find in other hot rods, including the power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and ice-cold R134a air conditioning. It was truly made to be comfortable over the long haul. The driver gets a Billet Specialties steering wheel on a polished tilt column and beyond that is a modern panel with a full set of Classic Instruments gauges.
With the engine on display to the world, you want it to be as shiny as this one. The polished air topper, valve covers, alternator, radiator, pulleys, intake, and so much more draw attention, but the best upgrade of them all is a FAST fuel injection system. That means this 350 cubic-inch small block has a huge advantage in performance and reliability. More than just the motor, it's worth looking at the undercarriage photos for all the upgrades under the skin. Up front is an independent suspension with tubular A-arms. In back are adjustable coilovers, as well as a stout Ford 9-inch rear. The glasspacks on the header-fed dual exhaust give this truck a muscular soundtrack. More than just being powerful, this one was built to be a true cruiser. That's why you have a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. The aluminum radiator with electric fan is there to make sure this V8 runs cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. Add in power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and the modern grip of Yokohama tires, and you have a terrific total driving package.
