Vehicle Description
Ready for that classic 70's Cruiser Convertible? ....... Zoom
Classic Cars presents this 1971 Pontiac Grand Ville 455Ci/V8
automatic. This cruiser is a real eye catcher with its Black
exterior & white top/interior - an attractive combination for sure.
Pontiac offered the Grand Ville from 1971-1975 as their Top-Trim
full-size model replacing the Pontiac Bonneville previously in that
spot. As per research it is believed that 1971 is the rarest of
Grand Ville Convertibles with only 1800 produced that year as
compared to 5000 for other years. This car is ready for the road
presented in true "Driver" condition, its exterior shows well and
has had previous body work upholding its condition, paint is clean
driver quality. The interior is complete, functioning convertible
top with true glass rear window, power front and rear windows, tilt
steering column and power brakes. The convertible top is complete
but does have a rip that is currently taped over (see picture). The
car retains the factory 8-track radio but is nonfunctioning at this
time as well as a fully intact AC system but also nonfunctioning as
the current owner has always enjoyed the car with the top down.
Lastly, the speedometer is known to be working erratically. The
current owner has kept this vehicle in a driver state, it has
received regular oil changes, a recent carburetor update and a
general tune up as noteworthy items. As per the current owner it is
believed the car retains its original 455Ci engine but has most
likely received overhaul in the past, current milage shown is
45,198 but is believed to be rolled over and most likely 145,198
miles. This Grand Ville cruiser is by no means perfect but is a
clean, road ready solid cruiser for a modest price. Have some fun,
put the top down, grab the family and head to the shore - plenty of
space in this classic. Contact Scott to check out this classic:
