Mechanical
The engine in this vintage truck is the 292 cubic inch "Y-block" V8
engine that was famous back in its day for reliability and power,
that if you are old enough to know, you can instantly recognize
with its wrap-around exhaust manifolds.
It has an Edelbrock chrome air cleaner atop the 2-barrel
carburetor, chrome valve covers, rebuilt modified radiator, and
sits in an original looking engine compartment.
The 3-speed on the tree transmission shifts easily with the 8-ball
shifter knob and rides on the polished aftermarket wheels and black
sidewall tires.
Interior
It's very original inside too and is still comfortable with the
black bench seat with black seat belts, the black rubber mats on
the floor that were designed to withstand all weather demands of a
work truck, black factory steel dash with the instrument panel with
just one single round gauge, the speedometer, with smaller
auxiliary gauges and warning lights around its perimeter and
accessory gauges below the dash, the big black factory steering
wheel, and the 3-speed on the tree with the 8-ball shifter
knob.
The bed is also original looking matching the rest of the
vehicle.
Exterior
It has a black paint job over the classic sheet metal with the
simple lines and molded fenders that contrast with the bed's rear
fenders trim on the sides, Ford F100 and Custom Cab logos, dual tow
mirrors, and the chrome grille and the chrome front and rear
bumpers.
