Vehicle Description
This 1990 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat is about being a stylish classic
that's still exceptionally useful. After all, it's an extra-duty
F-250 with a long bed, gooseneck, dual tanks, overdrive
transmission, and the big 460 V8 with fuel injection. So we bet
you're already thinking about all the useful ways to enjoy this
square body Ford.
The XLT Lariat package means you're getting a premium pickup. That
feeling is highlighted by the deep maroon paint that was resprayed
later in life to still have a nice luster today. And you even have
bright chrome bumpers and the full-length white/silver pinstripes
that show off the good panels. But the real appeal here is how you
get a classic truck with a true work-ready attitude. There's full
liner paint in the long bed and robust diamond plate bed rail caps.
Plus, 8-lug wheels, large tow mirrors, an added trailer brake
control, and the F-250 chassis are terrific for hauling. That's why
you not only have the rear tow hitch but also a gooseneck with a
wiring harness in the bed. So you can enjoy this truck for its
clean and vintage style, but from day one, you also know that your
classic has far more capabilities than many of those glam pickups
out there.
The interior is where you can really appreciate the premium side of
the XLT Lariat trim. This is loaded with features you don't get on
many other classics, like power windows, power locks, and an
AM/FM/cassette stereo. There are provisions for factory air
conditioning (it will need servicing,) but the side vent windows
and sliding rear glass already do a nice job of moving air through
the cab. If you want to get extra fancy, it's not difficult to get
new cloth covers for the seat. But you'll already appreciate the
good contouring and fold-down armrest. It makes this one long-haul
comfortable. So do features like the full gauges, dual fuel tanks,
and cruise control.
Under the hood is one of the most desirable options around: Ford's
460 cubic-inch V8. This is a later model for the famous big block,
and so you are at the intersection of cool history and modern
fuel-injected versatility. It's unknown if the odometer reflects
the actual mileage, but that seems less important thanks to proper
care and investments to keep it strong. The V8 was even removed and
resealed. Part of the long haul comfort also means going farther
with the ease of a four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive. There's even a camper-friendly rear
sway bar. Add in power steering and power brakes with discs up
front, and this is a very useful F-250.
Complete with owner's manual, this is an F-250 that looks good but
you can tell rather be working than be fancy. So it makes for an
extra-duty pickup with an extra-honest attitude. So if you want a
true classic truck that still gets the job done, call today!
