Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 23rd year in the
classic and muscle car business. Ford's classic 1965 Mustang has
become such an iconic automobile that people tend to forget what an
enormous impact it had when it burst onto the scene in April of
1964. At least 680,989 Mustangs were sold in its first model year,
setting an all-time record for fist-year new model sales and
becoming Detroit's greatest single success of the 1960's. With that
volume of production it's hard to believe that dealers were
auctioning them off because demand initially exceeded supply by 15
to 1! Our gorgeous Twilight Turquoise (5) 1965 Mustang coupe
beautifully illustrates the classic long hood/short deck styling
that swept the industry and spawned imitators that became known as
'pony cars'. Lift the hood of this turquoise treasure and you'll
find Ford's legendary 289 V8, a version of which won the 1965 FIA
International Manufacturers Championship for Grand Touring cars for
Ford. Additional features include the original Ford Toploader
4-speed manual transmission (HEH BT), 2.80 rear axle (6, WCZ-E),
correct Ford under dash air conditioning, correct black vinyl
interior (26), black vinyl top, Rally-Pac gauges, console, dual
exhaust, a Kenwood stereo, plus new, correct, and attractive Dual
Red Band tires. Now for the fun part. Correct, factory tags remain
on the carburetor, engine, steering gear box, transmission, and
rear axle! This beauty appears to retain most of its originality,
including good pans and sheet metal, and I have NEVER seen a
Mustang with 5 original tags before. Oh, yeah, and she drives
beautifully also, with the 2.80 rear end offering pleasant cruising
at highway speeds. One more jewel from the team that can make your
dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service
dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and
financing options.
