Vehicle Description
You've seen some custom street machines before, but when was the
last time you saw one with fuel-injected Lexus power? Oh yes, this
1954 Lincoln Capri keeps its premium attitude while also getting
plenty of hot rod flair. It makes for the kind of unique build
that's usually only seen at World of Wheels... but this one was
built to be driven!
The '54 Lincoln Capri has a similar silhouette to the Mercury
Eights from a few years prior that made such great lead sleds. So
it makes for the ideal base for a custom cruiser that wants an
upper-class personality. This mixture of power and panache starts
with the paint. The black cherry color gives you the kind of
darkness you'd love on a lead sled, but the sunlight lets those
deep red undertones pop with an added sophistication. And pieces
like the headlight bezels, side lovers, and tail light housings
were all switched to a gold tone. While that's unique, it instantly
is connected to the custom street machines of the past with the
best custom details. This includes the frenched headlights,
louvered hood, shaved door handles, Cadillac hubcaps, lake pipe
side trim, and quad exhaust tips. Plus, the vinyl roof does a great
job showing off the three inches chopped out of the roof line. And
the adjustable air ride suspension lets you dial in a lowrider
stance whenever you want. As you look over the whole car, you'll
see some signs of it being enjoyed. After all, the level of
craftsmanship here could sell deep into six figures if it were
perfect. So you could update the finish and other details and
likely still be in the money. But that's not why we like it. As it
is right now, you have a stunning and thoughtful one-of-a-kind full
custom build. And the right touches of use means you can actually
get out there and drive it. So people give you respect for actually
enjoying your classic to the fullest.
The remote door openers include a key fob, which is always fun to
use at car shows. And it is your gateway to a full custom interior.
The tan with black cherry accents coordinates quite well with the
exterior to remind you how thoughtful the build is. This Lincoln
continues its comfortable cruiser image with plenty of premium
features. You have leather seats borrowed from a Cadillac, power
windows, a cup holder center console, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with a
USB input for your phone. There are even provisions for R134a air
conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And as
you look in the trunk, there's even a full plexiglass box to
showcase the air ride equipment. It's also a terrific driver's set
up with a power seat, a wood-rimmed steering wheel on a polished
tilt column, and a full digital gauge package glowing in red.
When you want a custom car that has proper power and true luxury,
it's hard to beat a modern Lexus. Of course, it's up to you to tell
others about this powerhouse because the fuel-injected 4.0-liter V8
is surrounded by a full custom carbon fiber and polished
presentation that could certainly pass for a Lincoln powerhouse.
There are even red LEDs under the hood so you can showcase this
engine bay properly. What makes the Lexus motor so desirable is
that it's a 32-valve fuel-injected unit, which means a super-smooth
running V8 that's built to give you confident power in everyday
situations. It's part of why we love that this custom is a
driver-ready car. In fact, it's an all-around easy cruiser with the
Mustang II-style front end, power steering, power brakes, front
discs, and a five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
This is an awesome show car build that now has a driver-ready
style. That makes for a one-of-a-kind vehicle that's ready to be
enjoyed all over town. So if you want to be memorable from the
moment you arrive, call today!
