Vehicle Description
1979 Dodge Lil Red Express out of my personal collection of
classics. This lil red originally was a Georgia truck until I
bought it to use around town as a daily driver and in parades. I
got some advertising out of it and used it here and there until I
bought a higher dollar collector car and I decided to turn some of
the collection to help fund it. This dodge lil red drives well. I
only used it consistently on 30 mile type drives to my home and to
my office in town. The trans shifted good and the engine ran
strong. It is the original 360 engine best I can tell. It fires up
every time I used it but after storing it for a few months during
winter, I find it is a little hard starting where I have to pump it
a bit. Once it fires up it is usually good, maybe needs a carb
adjustment/ stronger fuel pump etc. The truck has factory AC but it
needs a charge etc. The lights are working and the gauges work
except the gas gauge. The truck has two gas tanks, the factory one
on the driver side and fuel cell on the passenger side. I use the
passenger side as I could not get the driver side tank to properly
work. The truck has a brand new wood kit installed. The paint looks
great all around the truck. The body is very clean as well. I saw
some Very minor dings here and there on the hood but small enough
where the camera wont pick them up. The chrome looks great and The
exhaust sounds very good with a low rumble. The interior looks
clean. The seat looks good and the floors are solid. The underside
of the truck looks great. The radio does not play. The hood latch
is there but it gets stuck once in a while. I attached a wire by
the hood release in case it gets sticky etc. The wheels are older
but look good for what I used it for. The front tires look decent
but the rear tires are just okay. I would recommend replacing the
rears. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our
