This 1957 Ford Custom Tudor Sedan Restomod walks a cool line

This Ford is filled with upgrades, but it also knows how to respect
its history. For example, you might think that this kind of glossy
gray is a modern color to announce this is a restomod. But Gunmetal
Gray was on the 1957 Ford palette. This was upgraded later in life,
and today it offers the right mix of clearcoat gloss and an easy
driver-quality attitude. So you have a modern appeal that's also
rooted in its history. In fact, history is a key to this car's
appeal. There was a design update in '57 that made it a terrific
classic with crisply defined tailfins, a wider chrome grille, and

wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, a tilt column, and a crisp set
of classic-style AutoMeter readouts. So this is absolutely a
driver's car.
Lift the hood and see a fuel-injected 4.6-liter motor. There was
extra time and care to make sure this modern motor looked like it
always belonged here. It even has nice details like tidy wires and
an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. And overall, this is a
thoughtful upgrade. The last of the Crown Victorias had a similar
Modular V8, and since the name has its origins in the 1950s, you
have a very cool/classic connection here. More importantly, a
fuel-injected motor like this is a far more potent powerhouse than
any of the V8s offered in 1957. It makes for the kind of fun and
durable cruiser today that fires up easily, runs smoothly, steers
easily with power steering, and keeps up with modern traffic.

for easy highway cruising. Plus, we bet there are plenty of you out

performance upgrades. And details like the tubular A-arm front
suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes are not only good for
