Truly Incredible 1964 Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park Mark lV Edition
The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is
this gorgeous 1964 Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park Mark lV 2 Door with beige
exterior paint and a black vinyl interior. You'll find a F-134
overhead four-cylinder engine bored .60 over with a "three on the
tree" manual transmission, an electric fuel pump, front disc
brakes, Borgeson steering, electric wipers, new autometer gauges, a
one-wire 14 volt alternator, a manual heater/defroster and so much
more.
This rare 1964 Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park lV off roader is also in
tremendous overall condition with an all original body and new
chrome, brand new half doors and a bikini top, plus powder coating
and one-stage Emron paint completing this spectacular example. It
underwent a ten-year frame off restoration and it's only been
driven 17 total miles since that time- it must be seen to fully
appreciate.
Painstakingly Restored in 10-Year Frame Off Restoration
The current owner of this 1964 Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park lV 4x4 is the
2nd to enjoy it and he purchased this ultra rare example all the
way back in 1986. As collectors already know, the '64 was the first
year of the limited Tuxedo Park Mark lV and one of the most sought
after models in Jeep's history. Very few of these examples remain
unmolested today and this particular Jeep is in tremendous factory
condition thanks to the extensive frame-off restoration effort that
spanned a decade. We have receipts on file for over $33,000 in
parts and labor alone.
Additionally, this 1964 Jeep CJ5 SUV appears in excellent physical
condition with laser straight body panels, new doors and top, plus
a fully restored interior with added oil, amp, and temp gauges. All
tires are new as well (including the spare) and a 3/8 inch
propylene gas tank has also been installed along with electric
windshield wipers, front disc brakes, and an electric fuel pump.
All chrome has been refinished as well and with new paint, this
example really stands out in person.
In terms of performance, this 1964 Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park Mark lV
drives and handles like it was originally designed to do with
excellent power to the wheels and capable off road handling. The
rebuilt transfer case also shifts flawlessly and this example is
ready to be driven and enjoyed.
