This 1959 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud is a left-hand-drive four-door
saloon that was acquired in 2019 and was recently removed from
storage and serviced. Work included removing and overhauling brake
servos, rebuilding front and rear wheel cylinders, removing and
replacing rear brake shoes, removing and reinstalling master
cylinder after servicing, bleeding entire brake system and
installing a new battery. The car is finished in Wedding white with
Silver gray leather and is powered by a 4.9-liter inline-six paired
with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include wheel
covers with body-color rings and chrome bumpers. This Silver Cloud
is now being offered for sale by Black Tie Classics. The body was
repainted by the previous owner many years ago. The paint still
shines bright but is starting to show its age as it has some chips,
in the paint that have bee touched up. The chrome trim and bumpers
were also redone and are in great shape with some minor pitting.
15? steel wheels wear full covers with body-color rings and are
fitted with black wall tires that are in great shape with good
tread. The left-hand-drive cabin is upholstered in Silver gray
leather with matching door panels, which are joined by burl wood
that accents the dashboard, upper door panels, and rear passenger
picnic tables. Features include a driver-side storage compartment,
a passenger side glove box, and a Logic stereo. The leather
upholstery is in great shape with normal wear. The carpet was also
replaced at some point and is in good shape. The headliner was also
redone and is in great shape. There is an aftermarket air
conditioning unit has been added in the rear to keep the passengers
cool. The unit works fine just serviced. The three-spoke steering
wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 110-mph
speedometer, a clock, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure,
amperage, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 94k
miles. The 4.9-liter inline-six features twin carburetors and an
F-head configuration that incorporates overhead intake valves and
side-mounted exhaust valves. The engine runs great! Power is sent
to the rear wheels through a column-shifted four-speed automatic
transmission. The transmission runs and shifts great. The car is a
real head turner which receives compliments and stares wherever it
goes. People are always wanting to take a picture with it. The car
runs and drives and is in good shape for its age. The car does need
some. These left hand drive models are becoming harder to find and
are going up in price yearly. Now is your chance to own a valuable
classic for a good price which will only increase in value!
