Vehicle Description
The 1997 Lexus LX450 is basically what you'd get when checking all
the option boxes on a Toyota Land Cruiser. So we love how this
custom creation brings a ton of extra luxury to an enhanced 4x4
setup. This rugged machine is so ready for a fun weekend in the
outdoors that there's even an awning already mounted to the
side!
Lexus loves to deliver elegance. The subtle two-tone paint is
basically cashmere and champagne. The running boards and pinstripes
even fit this color theme. So the well-preserved body has an
attractive style. But there's also a distinctive black added to the
color theme, and that's where this one announces it has been
upgraded for enhanced duty. Those dark 17-inch Icon wheels help
show off the four-inch Dobinsons suspension lift. There's a new
tougher steel front bumper that gives you a robust brush guard, LED
lights, and a Smittybilt winch integrated in the center. In the
back, you have another steel bumper that includes a mounting plate
for a jerry can and a full-size spare - both swing out to give you
full access to the rear. The ARB roof rack looks like it's large
enough to handle anything from a pop-up tent to your surfing gear.
And we love the mounted awning that would be handy even if you're
just tailgating in a parking lot.
The interior is up to Lexus luxury standards. That means plenty of
leather, burled walnut trim, and a feature-filled style. It's
loaded with automatic A/C climate control, power windows, power
locks, power front seats, power mirrors, cruise control, dual front
airbags, a premium AM/FM/cassette stereo system, and a sunroof.
There are three rows of seating, and like a proper Land Cruiser
family member, the third row folds against the sides to give you a
flat cargo floor. This is an actual mileage vehicle, and so you
will find signs of use, but what's impressive is how all your
desirable features continue to function with a quality feel. So
while you have a rugged exterior, the interior still gives you that
grand feeling of the Japanese Range Rover.
The Land Cruiser's fuel-injected six-cylinder powerhouse is also
used for the Lexus. It's a good choice because the Land Cruisers
have a long-standing reputation for hardy inline-six motors. In
fact, this one has a large 4.5-liter displacement that you may see
in a V8, but it keeps the inline motor's inherent smoothness. These
motors are great for torque, and that's perfect for off-road use.
When the pavement ends, the two-speed 4x4 transfer case works with
the beefy axles upgraded suspension, and BF Goodrich Mud Terrain
tires to make sure this is a true off-road machine. That's
especially true for this clean and well-maintained example. But as
a true Lexus, it still rides well and is solid to drive around
town. After all, it has easy cruising features like power steering,
four-wheel power disc brakes, and a four-speed automatic
transmission that shifts cleanly all the way into overdrive.
This is the best way to get anywhere/everywhere in comfort and
style. It's the premium machine that has been enhanced to let this
Lexus push beyond all boundaries. Don't let something this unique
and capable slip away, call today!
