QUALITY
This 1967 Ford F-250 is a true Good Humor ice cream truck, and it's
going to engage more senses than just your taste buds. Everything
from the feel of the porcelain signs to the chime of the real bells
tells you this restored truck is smooth and creamy nostalgia.
A 1967 F-Series pickup is always going to be a great classic truck,
but there's a lot of history that goes along with this
presentation. Good Humor would switch to box trucks in the 1970s
that were simpler to set up for the ice cream man. But these
pickups are what we love because they have their own unique style.
The cab was a full retro-fit for easy hop-on/off access. The Good
Humor graphics are said to be the original porcelain signs
(possibly with minor touch-up) that are so beautifully finished
that people will spend plenty of time looking over the details of
the raised graphics. And because you also have lights for the
signs, they can be showcased day or night. It's a fully detailed
style with the best Good Humor bars on display, top side boards,
and Ford factory wheel covers. This is a work truck, and it was
restored to turn back the clock to 1967 - not alter the past.
However, just about every car show, food truck night, and exclusive
party is likely going to want your Ford there to hand out ice cream
(and when was the last time a Ferrari paid for itself?)
The cab is always on display because the ice cream man was always
ready to deliver treats. It's wonderfully detailed with the
removable roof panels for sunny day fun and the pull chain to ring
the real bells that let kids know you were coming through the
neighborhood. This is a fully set up truck, and it's believed the
compressor will just need servicing if you want to carry ice cream
in the freezer box. The single-seat, classic steering column, and
bright white style were to make sure that this was simple, tidy,
and sterile. So, this one has the kind of clean look that's perfect
for a driver in a white shirt, white pants, white hat, and a bright
smile.
Under the hood is a 240 cubic-inch inline-six. Those who know Fords
recognize this as their choice for heavy-duty usage in the 1960s.
It has a terrific reputation for robustness that's ideal for an
F-250 like this. Of course, you're probably just as impressed with
the style of this one as you are with the substance. That's because
even the engine bay turns back the clock. It fires up with a truly
classic feel and settles into a smooth inline-six operation.
There's an authenticity to the look of this truck, and so you'll
appreciate how it also drives like a classic pickup. But features
like the three-speed manual transmission, and modern touring tires
make for an easy one to take through the neighborhood or lead the
parade.
Everyone loves the ice cream man, and so you know this is the one
classic that's going to get more smiles than all the others. So, if
you're ready for a sweet treat, don't miss this truck. Call
