completely different! Did you know big rigs existed at least as far
back as 1956? We proudly offer this rarely seen ?56 Diamond T Model
931CN cab-over-engine rig with a cosmetic restoration. This
particular model was previously owned by George Crouse, former
president and board member of the American Truck Historical
Society. It?s a single axle model and had one of the tallest
cab-over profiles in the industry, giving drivers a commanding view
of the road ahead. The red paint contrasts nicely with the white
trim of the grille, front bumper and wheels. The bodywork is
straight and solid with a clean engine bay. It has dual fuel tanks
and the following chrome parts - mirrors, grab handles, horn and
single exhaust stack. In front are Goodyear tires while in back are
Bridgeton truck tires, all size 11R22.5. Each one is mounted to a
red wheel with white trim and chrome center caps up front. The
wheels are in very good order but the tires are in good, original
condition. Beneath the cab is a Cummins 743 CID, 24-valve,
six-cylinder diesel engine (code NH220) ? 220 horsepower and 606
lbs-feet of torque! The motor is linked to a 10-speed manual
transmission. Gross vehicle weight is 30,000 pounds. The cab opens
a window into the past. There?s a wide center console, with just
enough room behind the seats for a twin roll-away mattress, a far
cry from today?s sleepover cabs. The driver?s seat is upholstered
in a medium blue while the navigator?s chair is green. The
gearshift lever falls to the driver?s right hand while a bank of
toggle switches resides on the center console, with a full array of
gauges to the left, framed by the steering wheel. The fuel, temp
and amp gauges are inop. The entire cabin is vintage mid-1950s. If
you?re a truck collector, this model may fit nicely into your
collection. If you specialize in Diamond T models, this is
definitely one you do not want to pass up. Stop by MotoeXotica
