Just arrived from and Estate The Continental Mark II in 1956 was
the most exotic and expensive American automobile. It was the
flagship of Ford Motor Company and the American Automobile
Industry. Popular in Hollywood, famous original owners of MK II
Continentals included Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Elvis
Presley. This 1956 Continental Mark II, serial #C56B2061, is
unrestored and out of long term storage. It shows 7,432 miles that
is believed original. Solid body has some dings, dents and scrapes.
Engine turns over runs very good. Exterior color was originally
lighter blue when repainted they picked a much prettier color.
Interior has some minor cracking in creases, steering wheel has
some cracks, dash leather just recovered, Minor chip in windshield.
Frame and under-body are in excellent condition. The Mark II
Continental was known for it's clean and luxurious lines, an
elegance that set it apart from all other contemporaries. And it is
now recognized as one of the greatest classics of the era. This
Continental Mark II is fully featured and was delivered with the
rare optional factory air conditioning. It also includes the hard
to find original jack and spare tire cover. Additionally, it is
equipped with rare "Irving Air Chute" front seat safety belts. This
Continental Mark II is a superb candidate for some restoration into
